Dear Nicholas,

I am once more installed at Stanford, enjoying the summer-like weather
which is especially nice after the Berlin winter.

In regard to your visit in July:

	1) What is the final participant list and
date of arrival, 30th or 31st (it was depending
on Pierre's last concert, I believe)?

	2) Please send a brief CV on each who is coming to the seminar
(at the request of the office of the president).

	3) The university is planning one reception at the president's
house on August 5th, following which we will all be sent off to separate little
dinners hosted by such local luminaries as Hewlett and Packard (in part this is
to help us raise some money in support of our project, and considering the
enormous wealth of the two mentioned above, there is no reason we should
not all hit them up).

	4) The university asks to hold one press conference at the
very end of the seminar for PB and team.

When I was asked about items 3 and 4 I suggested that we contact you
before plans are finalized to be sure that you are in agreement.
I have emphasized that this is a working visit and the university
officials assure me that there will be no publicity or any activity
planned for that matter without your approval. These two events, then,
are all that are planned, and I was told that the reception and dinner
would be over by 2200 hours. (Early morning sessions, remember?)

Would appreciate an early reply to these four questions.
